How To Care For Your Embroidery

1. First, lightly pre-treat visible stains with a stain remover like Shout or Tide (the pens work well!). Allow the stain remover to work for at least ten minutes before hand washing.

2. To hand wash the embroidered design, use a clean, damp cloth with cool water. It is best to use cool or tepid water to prevent the dye from bleeding.

3. Be certain that the cloth is very clean and has no residue from cleaning agents that could cause damage to the case.

4. The cool water should be effective enough for light stains, but if the stain is older or darker, spot clean with a gentle liquid detergent that will disperse with water and leave less residue on the fabric.

5. Continue to clean using a damp cloth with fresh, cool water on the embroidery until there are no more soap suds visible from the detergent.

6. Allow drying fully before use.

GYPSET INSPIRED: ROCKY BARNES X ZERO GRAVITY

What's a 'Gypset'?

A Gypsy Jetsetter, is how blogger guru and fashionista Rocky Barnes describes herself. A bohemian inspired, sun loving, free spirited, globe trotter. Ahh, sounds nice, doesn't it? Don't we all wish we could be 'Gypset(s)'? But here at Zero Gravity, if we can't get you to the ultimate destination, we will get you the next best thing- 2 exclusive phone cases designed by Rocky herself, both influenced by her 'Gypset' ways. And yes, one SHINES, literally. 

Inspired by a recent trip to Morocco, and by her favorite flower, the Protea, Rocky knew exactly how she wanted to design her two cases. A few meetings, and some moodboards later, FLORA and SAHARA were born. Two uniquely different cases, but both with plenty of Gypset traits. Flora is our first ever metallic embroidered case (we think she's an absolute stunner), and just between us, we think metallic will be making plenty more appearances in the future. Sahara is an embroidered beauty, designed to mimic the look of an authentic woven rug straight of out Morocco and sands of The Mediterranean Sea.

HOPE for AIDS Awareness

Great news! Coinciding with Apple's launch of the new (PRODUCT) RED iPhone for AIDS Awareness, we are launching our HOPE case! The whimsical black, white, and red design is inspired by famed artist Keith Haring who died from complications of the disease in 1990. In his later years, AIDS related themes were prevalent in Haring's art.

Haring's relationship to AIDS was one rooted in hope, as he produced some of his most critically acclaimed work after his diagnosis. "That's the point that I am at now, not knowing where it stops but knowing how important it is to do it now. The whole thing is getting more articulate. In a way it's really liberating," Haring said in a 1989 Rolling Stone interview. 

At Zero Gravity, we are joining in the commitment to bring hope to the fight to end AIDS worldwide. While honoring those who have died, we support those who are living with the disease. A portion of the proceeds will go to Red.org. 

One hundred percent of the money donated goes to work on the ground for the fight against AIDS.

The Hope case will be available starting 2PM Thursday, March 23 on ZGLA.com!

Over The Moon with iPhone 7

It seems like just yesterday I had my first iPhone 4 in my hands six years ago and here comes the brand new, shiny iPhone 7 and 7 Plus. There is a lot to be excited about with these fresh iPhones.

Apple is hurling us forward into the future once again whether we like it or not. I trust Apple. I am pretty sure they know what they’re doing… but it’s not going to be an easy adjustment. The idea of wireless headphones sounds great. I can’t tell you how many hours I have spent untangling my little ear bud wires. The downside is the new Apple Airpods are $159 and they’re not even out yet! FINE, APPLE, FINE. Wait, what’s that, Apple? I have to charge these little pinto bean-sized things too!? Great. Just great. I guess I cannot truly pass official judgment until I have experienced them first hand. Maybe they’ll be the best thing ever. For now, I will use the headphone adapter (it’s included with the iPhone 7. Thanks, Apple!). 

Uhhh… Water and dust resistant? Yes, please! When I first heard about this feature, my mind went to underwater pool pictures! Hay! That’s not really what it means though (Boo!). It means that if you drop your iPhone 7 in the toilet (Let’s be honest, we’ve ALL done that, right?!) or spill a cocktail on it, your iPhone 7 will probably be A-okay.

Stereo speakers?! Take a seat wireless speakers, we’re gonna be good. Turn up the tunes on your iPhone 7 and relax in the park or even on the beach! 

The thing I’ve been anticipating the most is the new camera. Editing and sharing photos are my JAM. Both the 7 and 7 Plus cameras will shoot photos with a new chipset that will detect faces and bodies, set white balance, set exposure, capture wide color and reduce noise. I’m not entirely sure what this chipset thing is exactly but what I do know is my insta feed is about to get a whole lot cooler and I can hardly wait!
