Best NYE Party in LA

With some help from LAist + LA Weekly, we hand picked our most anticipated Los Angeles parties to ring in the new year. Check out the shenanigans happening throughout LA and prepare yourself for an amazingly EPIC 2015!

Grand Park's New Year's Eve LA

If your looking for a party that won't brake your bank, downtown L.A.'s Grand Park throws a pretty epic bash every year—and the best part it's FREE. They'll have three music stages with local acts like Mr Little Jeans and Breakestra, and KCRW DJs like Garth Trinidad and Chris Douridas spinning on the ones and twos. Over 30 food vendors will be whipping up goodies so you won't have to go hungry while you stay out all night. There will be 3D video projection mapping over the 22-story City Hall as the countdown to midnight takes place, and you can snap some pictures with your besties in a photo booth at the event. If you take the Metro Red Line or Purple Line, ride for free and get off at Civic Center/Grand Park Station at the 1st Street exit, or the Gold Line at Union Station. There's also a free bike valet at at Hill and Second St. The event runs from 7:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. However, keep in mind that this is an alcohol-free event, so you'll have to pre-party and leave your booze at home.

Grand Park is located at 210 North Grand Avenue, downtown

Let's Party NYE At Park Plaza Hotel

Over at Westlake's Legendary Park Plaza hotel is an all-out indie dance party hosted by KCRW, A-OK AND IAMSOUND. Blood Orange will be headlining and debuting new material and Classixx will be performing live at this event. There will a bevy of other acts (including Blake Anderson from Comedy Central's Workaholics DJing) on the three stages from 8 p.m. to 3 a.m. A general admission ticket for $125 gets you in with an open bar all night.

Legendary Park Plaza hotel is located at 607 South Park View Street, Westlake, (213) 381-6300

NYE143

Named after the popular '90s pager code for "I Love You," 143 is a super-sweaty dance party for the jamster crowd. R&B, slow jams, hip-hop, and '90s house on the decks from DJs Sosupersam, Them Jeans, Siik, Kronika, Dan Oh, Bobby Evans. Champagne toast and countdown. Open bar and table reservations also available. Get your dancing shoes ready!

Los Globos is located at 3040 W. Sunset Blvd., Silver Lake. More info

The Line will be celebrating with parties at different spots throughout the hotel. At POT restaurant from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m., they'll have a DJ spinning tunes while they serve special Korean pub food and drink specials—a $9 POT shot and Tiger Beer combo as well as a $5 sparkling wine toast. They don't accept reservations. Over in the POT Lobby Bar, they'll have DJs spinning with the same drink deals from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m., with no cover charge. And upstairs in their greenhouse Commissary restaurant and bar, you can get a $30 all-you-can-drink sparkling wine deal starting at 10 p.m.

The Line is located at 3515 Wilshire Blvd., Koreatown, (213) 368-3030

Rhondapolis NYE 2015

If you haven't been to any A Club Called Rhonda dance parties, you're missing out. It's the type of place where you can be you. According to the website, "Rhondapolis serves as the global center for self-expression so anything goes, as long as it’s fabulous!" This year, they're throwing a rager at downtown L.A.'s The Standard hotel from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m., with four stages featuring some sweet artists like Hot Chip, Etienne De Crecy and Peanut Butter Wolf. The general admission ticket comes with an open bar, and you won't have to tip. There's also champagne that will be served at midnight for the toast. The cheaper early bird tickets have already sold out, but $175 ones are still available.

The Standard is located at 550 South Flower, downtown

And if your itching to jump start a stay-cation for 2015, head on over to the ACE Hotel in Palm Springs:

The Commune at the ACE Hotel will be having a party that we'd actually consider trekking out for. Hosted by Spaceland and Moon Block Party, they'll be ringing in the new year with great acts like Fool's Gold, Deap Vally and Crystal Skulls. DJs will spinning as well throughout the night. Tickets are $25 if you buy them online, and $30 at the door if there are any left. With that admission, you'll also get a champagne toast at midnight. If you'd like to purchase food or drinks, that will be available at the event. Doors open at 8 p.m., with music starting at 9 p.m.

ACE Hotel is located at 701 E. Palm Canyon Dr., Palm Springs, (760) 325-9900
