Prosciutto's Picks: Turquoise Trouble

Is it blue? Is it green? Is it a color? Is it a mineral? Do I have to spell it that way?

For centuries, turquoise has been mystifying and enchanting people, provoking existential questions and general, un-examined feelings of calmness. Turquoise isn't just the bastard child of blue and green. It isn't just a mineral. Turquoise is a philosophy, it's a way of life.  It's... Well, it's a color.  And a mineral.  And a silly word.

But it's one of our favorite minerals/colors/silly words. And if you're anything like us, there's probably not enough turquoise in your life. Luckily, that's all about to change, thanks to one ultra-lovable little pup.

In case you've been out of the loop, our best friend and company mascot is a French Bulldog named Prosciutto. She's extremely sweet and truly adorable. But above all else- she can smell a good deal from a million miles away. So, every couple weeks, we set our little fashion-hound loose on the world wide web to find the coolest, most affordable accessories. She hasn't let us down yet.

This week, we sent her out with a clear mission-- find five accessories for under $100 that fit this alliteration:

Turquoise Trouble

We'd barely given her the prompt before she was out the door. Here's what she found:

 1) Oasis iPhone Case - $32.00

Available for the iPhone 5/5S, iPhone 6, and iPhone 6 Plus.

This case is literally overflowing with turquoise goodness. We've encrusted these lovely gems and beads into the back of our brand new iPhone cases so that you can harness the powers of the turquoise goddesses wherever you are, and wherever you may roam.

And don't forget Oasis's oddball second-cousin, the Crystal Dream iPhone Case.

This case is also available for iPhone 5/5S, iPhone 6, and iPhone 6 Plus.

2) Sierra Bolo Necklace $20

Pretty sure we've never seen a more beautiful, elegant necklace for $20.  If you can't find a way to make this necklace work, you should just give up getting dressed altogether.

3) Bun Holder Set - $14

Nice buns!!! Even if you've never considered putting something as charming and practical as this in your hair, you really can't go wrong with this set of two bun-holders. If every compliment was worth a dollar, we guarantee these would pay for themselves in a matter of weeks.

4) Turquoise Clutch - $54

Getting fancy, Prosciutto! Made from soft, natural milled leather, this turquoise clutch just might be the power object you need to reverse your turquoise deficiency. Perfect for storing your phone, your sun glasses, and your Holly & Phoenix feather wand.

5) Hair Dye - $10.49

Though she begged us, we just couldn't bring ourselves to let Prosciutto dye her fur turquoise. As a compromise, we agreed to place this awesome "Atomic Turquoise" color-cream on the list, even though it's not technically an accessory.

That said, when your hair is popping with this color, it will only elevate the look of every single turquoise accessory you have with you. Overkill? We don't think so. In fact, if you're wearing all of these accessories and you still don't think you look good... Well. It's probably your shoes.

In Summation...

Prosciutto, you have outshined expectations yet again. Who's the best dog ever? Who's the best dog ever? You are! You are! Yes you!

Alright. Sorry about that. As always, a special thanks (and a treat!) to our little Prosciutto. And as for you, dear reader, let us know what you think. Do you have a favorite turquoise accessory? Tell us about it in the comments below! Or find us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
